Jim Melnick
Jim Melnick is the International Coordinator of the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE) and the editor of the LCJE Bulletin. He was first elected at the LCJE 10th International Conference in London (High Leigh) in 2011 and re-elected in Jerusalem in 2015. He has served as a “tentmaker” missionary with Life in Messiah International for more than 25 years and is also president and founder of Friends of Russian Jewry, Inc., a ministry arm of Life in Messiah to Russian Jews. In the 1990s he co-founded the Russian language “International Messianic Newspaper.”
Jim holds a Master of Arts degree in Russian studies from Harvard University as well as a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He served as a Russian affairs analyst at the Department of Defense at the Pentagon during the final years of the Cold War and is also a retired U.S. Army Reserve Colonel. After leaving government service, he worked for a number of years in various computer security firms, becoming a recognized expert on Russian and Chinese hackers and other cyber threats.

Jim and his wife, Karen, are the parents of four internationally adopted children and one grandchild.
