Stan Meyer
Stan Meyer is a senior missionary with Jews for Jesus in Los Angeles. He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and came to faith through his Messianic Jewish mother. He attended The University of Texas where he became involved with Campus Crusade for Christ. It was there he felt called to bring the Gospel to his Jewish people. He joined Jews for Jesus in 1985. He went on to direct the South Florida and Los Angeles branches. In 2005, Stan and his late wife Holly flew to China where they adopted their daughter Carrie. Sadly, Holly died of ALS in 2011, leaving Stan to raise Carrie as a single dad. In 2014 he married Jacqui Hops, a Jewish-believer from Los Angeles. Today, the Meyers live in Los Angeles where Stan is studying intercultural education at Biola University. The Meyers are preparing to move to Phoenix in July, where Jacqui will begin serving with Jews for Jesus. Stan holds a BS in physics from The University of Texas, an MA in intercultural studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, and is a PhD candidate at Biola University.
